Description:
This music video was created for Sage Todz’s breakthrough track “Sage Mode,”. Widely acclaimed for its candid storytelling around his experiences growing up as a Black teenager in rural Wales.
The song, a fusion of Welsh-English drill, is both a personal anthem and cultural statement, balancing energy with introspection.
Visually, the video draws inspiration from anime (specifically “Naruto”), intertwining energetic performance shots with stylised scenes. I directed, shot and edited the entire production.
