Overview:
Working alongside Soundboard, I supported Matt’s BBQ across a creative retainer covering campaign content, paid advertising assets and social-first video.

One of the key pieces was a promotional film celebrating 20 years of Matt’s BBQ, created to build anticipation around the anniversary while reflecting the personality, culture and energy the brand has built over the years.

Alongside the hero campaign film, I also created a range of shorter-form assets designed for organic social and paid media.

Creative Approach:

The approach changed depending on where each piece of content was going to live.

For the anniversary film, I worked from the initial creative concept, directed the talent on set and helped shape the camera angles and visual execution of each scene. I then handled the full post-production process, including editing, colour grading and sound design.

For the wider retainer content, the focus was on creating punchier, social-first assets that could communicate quickly, hold attention and work effectively across both organic and paid placements.

Across everything, the aim was to keep the content feeling energetic, culturally relevant and unmistakably connected to Matt’s BBQ.

Why It Matters:

This project gave me the opportunity to work beyond a single deliverable and think about how different pieces of content can work together across a wider campaign.

From hero creative to paid ads and social-first content, it allowed me to contribute across directing, production and post-production while creating assets with different objectives, formats and audiences in mind.
